Counseling sessions are 53 minutes in length. Sessions that start late due to the client’s late arrival will still end on time.
My standard rate is $120 a session. I offer a sliding scale scale fee that is dependent on annual household income. The minimum session fee is $84 a session. The initial session is an intake that requires additional work after the session and is billed at a higher rate ($180 – $126).
I do accept insurance and I am an Out-of-Network biller. I can also provide receipts to turn in to your insurance company if they will reimburse for counseling services. For more information please contact our office at (816) 622-3171 for a complementary check of your benefits by providing them with your insurance information. Please remember that the quote we give you is from the insurance company and they are subject to change the terms of a quote. For an exact review of what your benefits allow and cover please contact your insurance provider.
I accept cash, credit card, or checks. If paying by check please make it out to Epic Counseling.
Most people enter therapy when they have a problem severe enough that it is disrupting their daily life more often than not. Once someone has found that talking with friends, colleagues, or their pastor has not helped they seek out the help of a counselor.
I attended MidAmerica Nazarene University which is accredited through CACREP (Council for Accreditation of Counseling & Related Educational Programs). CACREP is a national leader in accrediting counselor education programs and does not limit it’s scope to just faith-based educators. They provide strict educational standards to encourage qualified clinical practice. With an undergraduate degree in theology and experience as a hospice chaplain I am sensitive to the role that faith plays in healing emotional wounds.
